Ingredients:
BRIE IN THE FRYER:
Prepare the cheese by removing the brie rind from the top of the wheel only. Leave the rind on the sides and bottom of the cheese. Place the cheese in a small ramekin or on a plate and place it in the center of your basket. Air-fry at 350 degrees F for 5 to 7 minutes, until the cheese is soft and warm. While the brie is in the fryer, in a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the cranberries, almonds and honey or liqueur. Mix together and microwave for 30-45 seconds, until hot. Sprinkle the warm mixture of nuts and berries over the brie. Serve warm with bread and crackers.
I prepare this recipe in my 5.8-quart Cosori deep fryer. Depending on the size and wattage of your fryer, cooking time may vary from 1 to 2 minutes.
FAQ about deep-frying brie
What can I serve with deep-fried brie? Creamy brie cheese has such a mild, delicious flavor that it can be served with your favorite crackers, toasted ciabatta rolls, sourdough bread or crispy croutons with white bread. It's also great served with apple slices, zucchini or banana chips, diced pears or carrots. Can I keep leftover brie? Brie is one of my favorite leftovers. Store leftover brie in an airtight container and refrigerate for 1-2 days. You can also freeze the cheese, let it cool completely and place it in an airtight container for up to a month. Let it thaw overnight in your refrigerator before reheating. What else can I do with Brie? You can make a decadent brie sandwich with fresh tomato slices and add fresh turkey to make it even better. Brie bites with cranberries made in the deep fryer will be simply incredible, or brie toast with mushrooms and garlic for a quick lunch or snack.
