Air Fryer Chili Pie is a great way to use up leftover chili and the perfect meal for an easy lunch or dinner, or even a quick and fun appetizer.

I love making chili in autumn and winter. It's a delicious, hearty dish that warms you from the inside out.
I'm still trying to decide what to do with my leftover chili. I usually make French fry pies and chili hot dogs, but I also really like these chili pies.
Chili pies require only a handful of ingredients and 15 minutes of preparation.

Ingredients:

chili (I love this homemade chili recipe)
Jiffy corn muffin mix
1 egg
⅓ cup milk
non-stick cooking spray

If you don't have the time or inclination to make homemade chili, you can always buy premade chili at your local grocery store, or even your favorite canned chili.
For this recipe, you'll also need ramekins or small bowls that can be placed in your deep fryer.
How to prepare chili pie in the hot-air oven?
Prepare ramekins with non-stick cooking spray and set aside. Add egg, milk and Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix to a small bowl. Mix until combined. Pour the chili into the bottom of the ramekins, filling them a little more than halfway. Top chili with corn muffin mixture. Place the chili pies in the fryer basket. Use the air-fry function and bake for 12-15 minutes at 320 degrees Fahrenheit, or until the corn muffin topping is golden brown and fully cooked. Carefully remove the ramekins from the fryer and serve.
NOTE: I prepared this recipe in my Cosori 5.8 qt. basket fryer. Depending on the size and wattage of your fryer, cooking time may need to be adjusted by 1 to 2 minutes.

FAQs :
What should I do if my corn muffin mix turns too brown on top?
If the cornbread mixture browns quickly, consider lowering the temperature and adding extra time. You can also use aluminum foil to cover the tops of the pies to prevent them from browning too quickly.
What other toppings can I add to chili pie?
I like to add a little sour cream, corn kernels and diced green onions to my chili before adding the cornbread mixture. This gives the final cobbler a little extra flavor.
I hope you enjoy this tasty dish as much as my family does. It's another great way to use up leftovers of your favorite chili.
